Who we are

 

Higher Youths Malta is a Non-Governmental Organisation, an informal group made up of youths who have finished their studies in Biology, Geography or Environmental Education. The co-ordinators who came up with the idea to form this group are high school teachers employed at Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School (GCHSS).

 

The organisation's ethos is that of empowering youths to further their education and employment skills. The main focus of the founders of Higher Youths is to allow personal development of each youth at his/her own pace with special focus on the youths’ strengths and interests through extracurricular activities. This organisation was founded as an extracurricular association that allows youths to develop their potential through environmental-related experiences overseas. It focuses on promoting and integrating diversity, providing equal opportunity for all and strives hard to promote environmental awareness and the importance of sustainable living by exposing interested youths to innovative, intercultural learning and memorable experiences.
